Cancellations

If some work has been completed, you and your Handyman should determine the number of hours that should be invoiced. If you can’t come to an agreement, our Customer Support representative can help mediate. 

You may reach out to our customer support team at support@hellojack.com.hk or at +852-23452999

If you need to reach out, please provide the following:

  • Job ID
  • Handyman name
  • Details on what has been completed, including how much time it took

To cancel from the HelloJack! app:

  • Select the “Home” tab at the bottom of the screen
  • Scroll down to “My Order” section
  • Select the job that needs to be cancelled
  • Scroll to the bottom and click “Cancel”

Alternatively, you can reach out to our customer support at support@hellojack.com.hk or +852-23452999, our representative will cancel the job for you.

Remember—we have a cancellation policy in the event a task is canceled or rescheduled 24 hours before it’s appointment time.

We’re sorry your Handyman didn’t fulfill their commitments and cancelled the job.

We uphold a high standard for all Handymen across our platform. At registration, they were told to complete every job on time and always communicate with clients if they’re unable to make it.

After a handyman cancelled, your job will be sent back to the jobs pool. Interested handymen will pick up the job and contact you.

If you cancel a confirmed job within 24 hours of its scheduled start time, you may be charged a one-hour cancellation fee i.e. $300.

  • We have this policy because Handymen reserved time/turned down other work in order to serve you
  • Cancellations are always reviewed internally to determine if a fee is applicable
  • If the cancellation is the fault of the Handyman, you won’t be charged any fee

The easiest way would be to pay on the app using your credit card.

Alternatively, you may also do bank transfer to HelloJack’s bank account:

You don’t need to pay the handyman in case as we’re a cashless platform. The Handyman will send a quote for the number of hours worked plus any agreed-upon expenses at job completion. You just need to accept the quote, then the amount will be automatically charged to your credit card.

HelloJack! uses a third-party payment processor, Stripe. The entire payment process is handled securely through Stripe using the credit card you entered.

Stripe accepts Visa, Master and American Express credit cards.

Starting July, customers can now place orders for complete home renovation on the app!

Largely a passion at the outset, Founder/CEO Phil could no longer contain his desire to turn passion into work…  Phil and his ilk dabble in the reno trade & sub-trades, often pro-bono basis, for over 40 years providing artistic directions or advice on construction methodology – yes, the ‘dos’ and don’ts’…!  Through extensive travels in Europe and North America Phil has developed a deep understanding about arts & culture, and local customs. Phil did numerous remodeling/ restoration work in North America, China and Hong Kong to critical acclaims !  Back home, trade & sub-trades are brutally segmented, scattered, and quality standards varied.  Over-charging clients has become a way of life for decades, and the workmanship hardly matches the steep fees clients are asked to pay.  The other problem is long waiting time. For small- and medium-sized projects clients stand in queues for months for c fus (handymen) to show up, if they show up at all !

A mighty fine group of individuals comprising architects, interior designers, building management/ repairs & maintenance experts, contractors, handymen, quality assurance personnel…  not to mention a team of top-drawer apps designers and developers…  all of whom have put together a ground-breaking concept to drive the HelloJack! business model.  Yes indeed, the old school and the new school working hand-in-hand to revolutionize the Hong Kong reno trade & sub-trades !
